Ateneo San Francisco

Ateneo San Francisco
A paradox formula reflects the inverse relationship between the urban presence of the scenic arts buildings and its interaction with the city and the urban inhabitant. Hence it presents itself as a  resting giant, sluggish for hours in our city, only to awaken during fragments of time to later continue on lowering the curtains with its indiscreet sleep.
The proposal looks to achieve the urban awakening of these buildings, opening its architecture permanently to the urban inhabitant, more so in contexts like our own where cultural exclusion is frequent.
The Ateneo becomes a redoubt in the city that contains a public recreational space, making the buildings interactive and close.
The Ateneo is made up of three major components: the Workshops building, the Auditorium and the Urban square.
